Men vs. Women: housework

Men do more housework than women think. Women still do more than half, but men’s contributions are underestimated. Tell me about it! :)

I generally do the dishes, I do all the regular yardwork and I clean the garage and do all the recycling. I always clean the dog’s vomit too even when it’s “her dog” that does it. Gay does the majority of daily cooking and always does the laundry (I don’t need clean clothes!), though. While I admit Gay does more total work than I do, I do believe my contributions are underestimated. :(

Well, who always has to write the check to the housecleaner, huh? Who would that be?

I’m kidding and I don’t appreciate your housework enough, especially with regard to the dog vomits.

(Funny: my code word to post a comment was “LOVE”.)

Aw, men are underestimated by a staggering 6%!! To their credit, they overestimated with less of a discrepancy than we underestimated. Kudos for being more honest. ;)

OTOH, they say nothing about child care… I wonder how the numbers would stack if they included all of the domestic responsibilities required to run an orderly home with kids (fur or otherwise.)

I am so delighted to be able to get to know you. I am going through this in my usual backward fashion (from back to front, or middle to both ends) so anything I post will make no logical linear sense. My DH cleaned up after my dog too (she’s dead now), and he also does the laundry and cooks… I just like to think and dream about the cooking. Actually I do cook when we have company, or fancy dinners, or parties, or holidays, or when I get excited about a new recipe.
